A speeding Thar SUV hit five people in Karaira town of Shivpuri district on Thursday morning. Three labourers riding a bike and two women walking on the road were injured in the accident. The incident took place around 7:30 AM in the Karaira police station area. Bike hit first, then two women walking ahead Complainant Sanjay Parihar, a resident of Sanheda village in Datia, said he was going to Thanra village for work with Ashish Parihar and Anshul Parihar on a bike. Two women, Sita Verma and Pooja Soni, were walking ahead of them. A black Thar Roxx coming from behind first hit the bike and then struck the two women. All five fell on the road and suffered injuries. Injuries reported, locals rushed to help Sanjay, Ashish and Anshul suffered injuries to their hands, legs and head. Sita Verma and Pooja Soni sustained injuries to their waist, shoulder and head. People present at the spot rushed to help and assisted the injured. MLA’s son accused of reckless driving The injured alleged that the vehicle was being driven by Dinesh Lodhi, son of Pichhore MLA Pritam Lodhi. They said the vehicle had “Pritam Lodhi” written on the front and “MLA” on the back. A video of the incident has also surfaced. In it, Dinesh Lodhi is seen questioning the injured, asking why they did not move despite the horn and siren. He also blamed the bike riders for riding with three people. Accused was heading to gym, say reports Reports suggest Dinesh Lodhi has been staying in Karaira to increase his political activity in the area. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly on his way to the gym. Case registered, investigation underway Police have registered a case against Dinesh Lodhi under Crime No. 255/26 under Sections 281 and 125(A) of the BNS. An investigation is underway.
