The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has released the results of the 10th (High School) examination for the year 2026. A total of 73.42% of regular students have passed this year. Pratibha Singh Solanki of Panna district has secured first position in the state by scoring 499 marks out of 500. The high school examination was held between February 13 and March 6, 2026. A total of 8,97,061 students appeared in it, of which 7,87,733 were regular and 1,09,328 were self-study candidates. Female students outperform males This time too, female students outperformed male students, with a pass percentage of 77.52% for female students and 69.31% for male students. Government schools ahead The pass percentage for government schools was 76.80%, higher than the 68.64% for private schools. This indicates better performance by government schools. Girls dominate toppers list 378 students made it to the merit list, including 235 girls and 143 boys. Performance of districts In the district wise results, Anuppur stood first with 93.85% and Alirajpur stood second with 92.14%. Second chance exam instead of supplementary exam This year, a “Second Chance Examination” has been introduced in place of supplementary exams. Students who failed, were absent, or needed to improve their scores in the main exam will be able to appear for this examination, which will be held from May 7, 2026. 2.89 lakh students failed A total of 2,89,693 students have been declared failed, while 47 cases of cheating were reported during the examination.
