The 135th birth anniversary of Constitution maker and Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is being celebrated in Mhow on Tuesday. A day earlier, followers and Buddhist monks from various states of the country including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan started arriving. Late Monday night at exactly 12 o’clock, a guard of honor was given along with human salutation at Baba Saheb’s birth memorial located at Kali Paltan in Mhow. After this, fireworks were displayed. The sky lit up with colorful fireworks, while the entire area echoed with slogans of ‘Jai Bhim’. Thousands of followers witnessed this event. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also reach Mhow. He will garland Baba Saheb’s statue there. He will also address the gathering. State Congress President Jitu Patwari along with other Congress leaders will also participate in the program. More than one lakh people are expected to arrive at the event. There has been a crowd of devotees since morning, due to which the city is echoing with slogans of ‘Jai Bhim’. Welcome stages have been set up at various places for the devotees. Extensive arrangements for followers Memorial Committee Secretary Rajesh Wankhede informed that keeping in view the heat, carpets have been laid in the premises and arrangements for cold water have been made. Large numbers of people have arrived in Mhow from cities like Mumbai, Nashik and Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Administration arranges accommodation and food SDM Rakesh Parmar informed that extensive arrangements for accommodation and food have been made by the state government for the arriving followers. It is expected that more than one lakh people will participate in the event this year.
