The Indore branch of the Homeopathy Medical Association of India (HMAI) organised a programme on World Homeopathy Day. The event focused on growing trust in homeopathy, scientific approach, research-based treatment and the importance of an integrated healthcare system. Senior homeopathic doctors, young practitioners, students and social workers attended the programme. Chief guest Dr Vaibhav Chaturvedi said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, he took the homeopathic medicine Arsenicum Album and did not get infected. He added that combining homeopathy and allopathy can lead to better and faster treatment of diseases. He also stressed the importance of research, awareness and scientific data along with medical degrees in the healthcare sector. Youth connecting with books by stepping out of reel life Special guest Dr SP Singh emphasised the need for auxiliary and integrated treatment systems. He said homeopathy is being increasingly used as a supportive and complementary treatment in complex diseases like cancer. Dr Vaishali Vaker said she has benefited from medicines like Ferrum Phos and Calcarea Phos since childhood. She added that homeopathy strengthens individuals physically as well as mentally and psychologically. She urged young people to move away from “reel life” and engage with books to gain knowledge. Advice on Avoiding Spine Surgery Dr Arpit Chopra Jain said that spine surgery should be avoided wherever possible, as many cases can be managed through homeopathic treatment and lifestyle changes. He also presented successful case studies of brain tumour and high creatinine treatment through a PowerPoint presentation. New Direction Received After 2014 Dr AK Dwivedi said that after 2014, homeopathy in India gained new direction and momentum. Government support and promotion of AYUSH systems have strengthened this field. He added that post-COVID positive outcomes have further increased public trust, and homeopathy is now being widely accepted as an effective and reliable medical system. The programme was conducted by Deepali Panchal. Vinay Pandey delivered the welcome address and Deepak Upadhyay proposed the vote of thanks. Junior homeopathic doctors and scout-guide members who contributed to social service were honoured with gold medals.
