A truck loaded with chicken feed overturned onto an auto standing by the roadside in Shivpuri on Saturday. Four people, including the bride and groom, died in the accident. The incident occurred around 12 noon near the petrol pump on Tongra Road under the Sirsaud police station area. According to information, Virendra Shakya (25), a resident of Rajgarh village in Tendua police station area, had married Rajeshwari Shakya, a resident of Sanjay Colony in Shivpuri, on Friday. Both had gotten married at a temple in Sanjay Colony in the presence of their families. The rickshaw driver had stopped the vehicle near the petrol pump located on Tongra Road. During this time, the driver and the groom’s sister had gone to a nearby shop. Just then, a truck loaded with chicken feed went out of control and overturned on the auto. The groom-bride, groom’s mother and sister-in-law sitting in the auto got trapped under the truck. Bodies were extracted with JCB after about half an hour A JCB had to be used to rescue the trapped people. After about half an hour, everyone was extracted and taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared all four dead.
