murder-case-similar-to-raja-raghuwanshi-unfolds-in-dhar:wife-plots-husband’s-killing-with-lover,-stages-robbery-drama

A shocking murder occurred in Gondikheda Charan village of Dhar district on the night between Monday and Tuesday. The wife, who had tearfully narrated to police her ordeal of being robbed and held hostage, was revealed to be her husband’s killer. Within six hours of investigation, police unmasked the ‘helpless’ wife, Priyanka, who had planned the entire incident with her lover, Kamlesh. Authorities have noted that the case bears striking similarities to the infamous ‘Raja Raghuwanshi’ murder in Indore, where the wife, Sonam, conspired with her lover to eliminate her husband. Fabricated robbery story After the murder, Priyanka falsely claimed that unknown assailants had broken into their home at night, held both of them hostage in separate rooms, looted jewellery worth ₹3 lakh, cash of ₹50,000, and killed her husband when he resisted. Police suspicion arises During the investigation led by SP Mayank Awasthi, contradictions in Priyanka’s statements raised suspicion. The 12-inch deep head wound on the victim indicated a precise and brutal attack, suggesting revenge rather than a normal robbery. Other suspicious signs included frequent changes in Priyanka’s account and the disappearance of her mobile phone. Evidence recovered from the crime scene suggested that Priyanka and her lover had been present at the scene after the murder. Childhood marriage and affair Investigators discovered that Devkrishna and Priyanka had been married at the age of 15. Priyanka had been frequently absent from home and was involved in an extramarital affair with Kamlesh, a man from the same community. She had returned from her maternal home five to six days prior to the murder, possibly to finalise the plan. Late at night, Priyanka broke down under strict questioning and confessed. She admitted that she and Kamlesh had conspired to eliminate Devkrishna so that they could live together. The entire matter will be officially disclosed in a press conference shortly.’
