Delhi Capitals (DC) are likely to miss the services of their star pacer Mitchell Starc for three more matches in IPL 2026. The Australian fast bowler has not yet joined the squad and is currently recovering from injuries. Starc, who is 36 years old, is dealing with shoulder and elbow issues back home. Due to this, he is unlikely to join the team before 20 April, which means he could miss at least three more matches. Despite his absence, Delhi Capitals have made a strong start to their campaign and remain unbeaten so far in the tournament. In a recent social media post, Starc addressed criticism and spoke about his injury situation. “Despite the opinions and views of certain individuals with their platforms in and through the Indian media, I’m currently rehabbing and managing an injury in my shoulder and elbow, the extent of which I didn’t know during the Australian summer. These individuals have made some strong statements around involvement in the IPL and provided heavily misinformed opinions of players, preached them as facts, and claimed to know my body better than me,” Starc wrote.
