The district administration in Indore has issued a dedicated helpline to address complaints of overcharging by schools for books, stationery, and uniforms, as well as forcing parents to purchase items from specific shops. Helpline number issed for parents Parents can register complaints directly by calling 0731-2431117. The helpline will operate during office hours and will become functional from 11 AM on April 7. Strict action against violations District Collector Shivam Verma said that all complaints received through the helpline will be promptly investigated by the education department. Schools found guilty of overcharging or violating norms will face strict action as per regulations. Complaints beyond academic issues also allowed The administration clarified that, apart from school-related grievances, citizens can also register other related complaints on the same helpline during office hours. Officials have urged parents to report any irregularities immediately to ensure transparency and fairness in the education system.
