A 14-second CCTV footage has surfaced of the 31 March night accident at Bhopal Railway Station, showing a young man being seriously injured after getting trapped between a moving train and the platform. According to GRP, his condition remains critical, and he is not in a position to give a statement. In the first second, the youth is seen walking alongside the train on platform number 6. In the next second, he collides with the side of a coach door. Within 3 seconds, he gets stuck between the moving train and the platform. Over the next 5 seconds, he spins 4–5 times, and in the following 6 seconds, the train drags him downward, and he disappears from the camera frame. The mobile phone kept in his pocket was completely damaged, making identification difficult. According to eyewitnesses, he is said to be a resident of Bihar and around 25-26 years old. One arm broken, deep head injury Eyewitness Halke Bhai Lodhi, who was present at the time of the incident, said that after the accident, there was chaos on the platform. At the behest of GRP, he went to the hospital with the injured youth out of humanity. One of his arms was broken. There was a deep head injury. Despite this, he was breathing. Lodhi stated that he stayed in the hospital until 4 AM. He had identified himself as being from Bihar, but his name is not remembered. GRP SP Rahul Lodha said, No criminal conspiracy has come to light in the CCTV footage and preliminary investigation.Prima facie, this case appears to be due to the youth’s own negligence. Further legal action will be taken only after he regains consciousness.
