The Mohan Cabinet had decided 10 days ago to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) by 3% for employees and pensioners. Now the Finance Department has issued the order on Thursday. This increased amount will be received in May along with April’s salary. The arrears amount will not be given all at once, but will be paid in 6 installments. These installments will be given in May, June, July, August, September and October. Arrears will be received from July 2025 to March 2026. With this increase, employees’ salary will increase by approximately 465 rupees to 4,230 rupees every month. Meanwhile, arrears will range from 4,185 rupees to 38,070 rupees. Additional burden of 2450 crore rupees This decision will benefit approximately 12 lakh people in the state, including 7.50 lakh employees-officers and 4.50 lakh pensioners. Pensioners will also be given Dearness Relief (DR) at the rate of 58%. This decision will put an additional burden of approximately 2450 crore rupees on the government.
