On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day 2026, an awareness programme highlighting inclusion and empathy for children with autism was organized in Bhopal. The event, hosted by Act2Enable–Aadhaar at Subhash Excellence School, focused on the theme of dignity and equality for individuals on the autism spectrum. Experts stressed the need for greater sensitivity towards children with special needs, underlining that every life holds equal value. Dr Jagmeet Kaur Chawla interacted with students, raising awareness about autism and encouraging a more inclusive outlook. The highlight of the programme was a 35-foot-long mural created by students, dedicated to children with autism. The artwork, guided by senior artist Swatantrata Karjotkar, reflected themes of compassion, inclusion and human values. The event followed a blue theme, symbolizing autism awareness. Special children trained at Aadhaar also delivered performances, showcasing their abilities. A song produced by the organization was presented during the programme. School principal Dr Parashar urged students to embrace individuality and show compassion, stressing the importance of acceptance and gratitude. The programme saw participation from special children, parents, teachers, counsellors, volunteers and guests.
