The board meeting of the Indore Development Authority (IDA) was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Commissioner Dr Sudam Khade. The revised budget for the financial year 2025–26 and the proposed budget of ₹1,020.93 crore for 2026–27 were approved. An expenditure of ₹993.86 crore has been estimated for the upcoming year. The budget places special focus on flyovers, master plan roads, TPS development works, a convention centre and a startup centre on PPP mode, and the ambitious Vijay Nagar project. Tenders worth around ₹193 crore for various development works were approved, including projects in TPS-08, Kanadia, Bicholi Hapsi, Tigariya Rao area, service roads near the Level-2 flyover, and Baneshwari Dham Phase-1. A decision was also taken to construct a flyover at Chandan Nagar Square (Dhar Road) at a cost of about ₹60 crore, to be funded from non-plan resources. Additionally, reserved houses in Harsingar and Amaltas complexes in Niranjanpur, as well as remaining units in Scheme 155, will be converted to the unreserved category and sold on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis, making more housing available. Around 2,000 families under the Aranya scheme will benefit from lease renewals. Approval was also given for selecting a consultant to build a sports complex worth ₹35 crore near Dussehra Maidan on Annapurna Road. Key decisions were also taken regarding traffic improvement at 11 major intersections, operation of the ISBT, and other pending matters in the city.
