A 60-year-old woman was found dead with her head severed in Rewa district on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred in Lohee village, which falls under the Bichhiya police station jurisdiction. Police rushed to the scene as soon as they received information and have launched an investigation. The deceased has been identified as Leela Patel. According to the police, the body was found separated from the head, which has not yet been recovered. Following the discovery, police have begun search operations in surrounding areas and are questioning villagers for information. Family claims head was taken by suspects Neeta Patel, daughter of the deceased, said her mother lived alone. She received news from neighbours that her mother had been brutally murdered. She added that the suspects also took her mother’s head with them. Neeta expressed shock, stating that her mother had no known enemies, and demanded a thorough investigation and swift arrest of the culprits. Police investigation underway Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chauhan confirmed that all aspects of the case are being investigated. Efforts are ongoing to collect leads and clarify the circumstances of the incident. Officials assured that the case will be solved soon.
