Weather changed across Madhya Pradesh due to a cyclonic circulation and trough. Several areas are witnessing storms and rain. On Friday evening, strong winds and rain hit Chitrakoot in Satna district, affecting Ram Navami celebrations. Rain and thunderstorm alert in 20 districts The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for rain, lightning, and thunderstorms in 20 districts, including: Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Maihar. Cloud cover was seen in Gwalior and nearby areas, while Narmadapuram remained hot, with chances of rain at night. Heat persists in several cities Despite rainfall in some areas, temperatures remain high in many cities: Among major cities, Jabalpur recorded the highest temperature at 38.2°C. Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain recorded around 37°C, while Gwalior recorded 36.1°C. Rain likely till March 30 According to the weather department, rain is expected till March 30 in around 28 districts, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Chambal, and Sagar divisions. Light showers may occur on March 28, while the strongest impact is expected on March 30. Third spell of weather change in March This is the third spell of rain and storms in March. Earlier, two spells affected more than 45 districts, with hailstorms reported in 17 districts. Crops like wheat, papaya, and banana were damaged.
