People in Madhya Pradesh are again ‘panicking’ about LPG cylinders. Cylinder bookings in Bhopal have increased up to 5 times. On Friday, bookings at one agency reached 1600, while the stock was only 350 cylinders. On normal days, bookings are around this number. Similar situations were seen in other districts. Regarding this, Minister Govind Singh Rajput said that LPG bottling plants have adequate stock and are working extra time. In Bhopal, cylinder bookings used to be around 8 thousand on normal days, which has now reached up to 14 thousand, while the supply is between 11 to 12 thousand. Food Controller Chandrabhan Singh Jadoun said that people are reaching agencies or godowns immediately after booking. They are being explained that whether it takes 2 or 4 days, cylinders will be supplied to homes only. Currently, 32 to 35 thousand bookings are pending. This is also being done. Sales increased due to rumors in the state…Orders issued in Bhopal Meanwhile, there are no crowds at petrol pumps in big cities like Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain, but the effect of rumors is being seen more in smaller cities. The government has also clarified that due to panic buying by customers (excessive buying due to fear), sales have increased 2 to 2.5 times in some districts. For this reason, long queues and temporary stock depletion situations remained at some petrol pumps. There is no shortage of petrol and diesel stock at the pumps. Diesel and petrol are being continuously supplied from the company’s depot. The state receives a supply of 18,548 kiloliters, which is 1.85 crore liters of petrol and diesel per day. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum have depots in Bhauri near Bhopal. From here, fuel reaches 192 pumps in Bhopal. The city receives a daily supply of 12 lakh liters of diesel and 9 lakh liters of petrol. The capital alone has fuel stock for more than two and a half months. Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh has also issued orders regarding those spreading rumors. This includes FIR proceedings. Reason for the crowd surge Amid the America, Israel, and Iran war, crowds have been gathering at petrol pumps in Madhya Pradesh for the last 4 days. In many cities, people start lining up with their vehicles at pumps from 5 AM. This crowd remains until late night. Such conditions exist due to rumors, even though the government has clarified that MP has abundant petrol and diesel. Government engaged in action Minister Govind Singh Rajput said that Madhya Pradesh has an adequate stock of LPG, petrol, and diesel available. All refineries in India are working at full capacity and there is also sufficient stock of crude oil. Due to this, there is no interruption in supply. Continuous action is being taken to prevent black marketing of LPG under the Essential Commodities Act in the state. So far, 2046 locations have been inspected, and 2888 LPG cylinders have been seized. FIRs have also been registered in nine cases. He said that in the current situation in the state, all oil companies have an adequate stock of petrol/diesel (MS/HSD) available. New stock is arriving daily for all oil companies. This can easily meet the demand for the coming days. All supply locations are working longer hours to meet increased demand, and the situation is being normalized by fulfilling the demand. Food Minister Rajput said there is no shortage of petroleum products in Madhya Pradesh. He has appealed to the state residents not to pay attention to any kind of rumors and only purchase petrol and diesel according to necessity. Do not hoard in any way.
