Minor beaten, stripped and filmed in Jabalpur:Dispute over money in thieves’ gang; 3 taken into custody

A dispute arose within a gang in Jabalpur over the distribution of money obtained by selling stolen goods. In this, three miscreants together severely beat their minor accomplice with kicks and punches. Then they stripped him completely and threw mud on his body. They told the minor to hit himself on the face with his own slipper. After this, they sent him to bathe in the river. The accused made a video of this entire incident and made it viral. After watching the video, the minor, along with his family, reached Gwari Ghat police station and lodged a complaint. The assault incident took place on Monday. The accused Rajesh alias Rakku, Keshu, and Raghav had called the 17-year-old minor to Gwari Ghat. On Tuesday, the police registered a case and took all three into custody. According to the police, several cases of theft and assault are registered against the victim and all three accused in different police stations of the city. They said – Keep hitting yourself until we tell you to stop In the video, the accused are telling the minor – “Keep hitting yourself until we tell you to stop.” The accused are also heard saying that it’s not fun.
Dispute over money from bike theft TI Harikishan Athnere said- The minor and the three accused are friends. They had stolen a motorcycle together a few days ago. After selling the bike, when the money was being distributed, the minor objected to his smaller share. This led to a dispute among the four. ASP Suryakant Sharma said- Police are also investigating from which area the accused had stolen the bike.
