A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. The temple management had issued an order on March 17 banning VIP entry and access to the sanctum because of heavy crowds, so that common devotees could get equal darshan. This led to a situation of disarray in the temple premises for some time. Attempts were made to contact the temple administrator and SDM Divya Patel on the matter, but her side could not be obtained. Congress demanded action against those responsible Politics has also intensified on the matter. Maihar City Congress President Prabhat Dwivedi questioned how the minister was allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum when VIP darshan was prohibited.
