A violent clash broke out between intoxicated youths and police officers in the middle of a road in Rewa city. A video of the incident has surfaced, clearly showing a group of drunk young men confronting police personnel and assaulting them after knocking them to the ground. The situation quickly escalated into a full-blown physical altercation, with heavy pushing, shoving, verbal abuse and fighting on both sides. In one part of the footage, two police officers can be seen struggling to restrain a youth. In another segment, bystanders are heard shouting and hurling abuses, alleging that the police themselves were drunk and forcibly detaining people. During the clash, some locals also alleged that the police personnel involved were themselves intoxicated. Passersby recorded the entire incident on their mobile phones, and the video is now rapidly going viral. She added that a group of intoxicated individuals got into a confrontation with the police, abusing them and engaging in a scuffle. Police have launched a search operation to identify and trace those involved in the incident.
