A violent clash broke out between intoxicated youths and police officers in the middle of a road in Rewa city. A video of the incident has surfaced, clearly showing a group of drunk young men confronting police personnel and assaulting them after knocking them to the ground. The situation quickly escalated into a full-blown physical altercation, with heavy pushing, shoving, verbal abuse and fighting on both sides. In one part of the footage, two police officers can be seen struggling to restrain a youth. In another segment, bystanders are heard shouting and hurling abuses, alleging that the police themselves were drunk and forcibly detaining people.
