The proposal to increase property guidelines in Indore district is in its final stage. For the 2026 agricultural year, the focus is on farmers, especially those affected by major infrastructure projects. The Eastern-Western Outer Ring Road, the Greenfield Corridor, and the Mangliya-Budhni railway line areas will benefit from higher guideline rates. Following recommendations from the Indore Collector, the Registration Department has revised its initial proposal. Four key projects in and around Indore are central to the new draft, which will now offer farmers significant advantages. Guideline rates in some villages are set to increase by 50% to 200%. Post-compensation hike planned For the Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Corridor, much of the land compensation has already been paid. Yet, further hikes are planned to ensure fair prices for remaining land. Similarly, the Outer Ring Road (East-West) project is still acquiring land. Villages affected by this project are also receiving focused attention to avoid farmer dissatisfaction. The Mangliya-Budhni railway line, another major project, has witnessed multiple farmer protests. Villages under this project are being considered separately for revised guideline rates. Out of 4,840 locations in the district, 2,606 were initially proposed for increased rates. This number may rise to 2,700. Farmers can submit claims or objections until 6 PM on 21 March.
