Lucknow Super Giants has intensified preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav and other players including Avesh Khan, Abdul Samad, Himmat Singh, Akash Singh, Mukul Chaudhary, Arshin Kulkarni, Digvesh Singh, and Prince Yadav who arrived in Lucknow were welcomed with tilak and garlands. Team Global Cricket Director Tom Moody, Head Coach Justin Langer, Assistant Coach Lance Klusener and other players have already arrived. Meanwhile, Captain Rishabh Pant, bowler Mohammed Shami, Ayush Badoni, Fielding Coach Bharat Arun will join the team on Monday. Along with this, Arjun Tendulkar, Siddharth and several other players reached Lucknow late Sunday night. LSG to field strong team in new season In IPL 2026 season, Lucknow Super Giants is ready to give their best under the captaincy of Indian team’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Along with Rishabh Pant, this season includes several players like Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, Abdul Samad, and Arjun Tendulkar. With a strong batting and bowling lineup, Lucknow Super Giants is a strong contender this season. The team has to play a total of four matches, including two home games and two away games. The team has to play their second match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad on April 5, third match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata, and fourth match against Gujarat Titans in Lucknow. The team made it to the playoffs in their first two seasons (2022 and 2023). After this, the team’s performance declined when they slipped to seventh position in 2024 and 2025. Before last season’s 2025 IPL, team management made the biggest bid in IPL history (27 crores) to include a wicketkeeper-batsman, but this decision also could not bring the team close to playoffs. For the new season, the team has included Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Josh English along with South African fast bowler Enrich Nortje. As such, hopes have risen for better performance from the team in the new season.
