90-year-old woman gang-raped in Khandwa:4 masked men assault victim; attempt to kill by throwing her into well

In a shocking incident, four masked miscreants gang-raped a 90-year-old woman in the Punasa area of Khandwa district. The victim was living in a house built in a field. In this incident that occurred on Wednesday night (March 5). As per the information, after the assault, the accused tried to kill the woman by throwing her, along with her cot, into a well. Hearing people approaching, they fled, leaving her in the field. The victim suffered in critical condition for about 12 hours throughout the night. She has suffered serious injuries to her private parts. The villagers learned about the incident when they reached the field on Friday morning. She lived alone, miscreants took advantage of this According to information, the elderly woman lives alone in a house built in her field. On Wednesday night, she went to sleep after having dinner as usual. There was no one around at night and taking advantage of this, 4 miscreants entered her house. The victim said that all four had covered their faces with cloth. They went straight to her and grabbed her. According to the her, all four raped her one by one. Could not resist due to age and weakness The victim said that when she tried to resist, the accused stuffed cloth in her mouth. After this, they held her hands and feet and brutally assaulted her. Due to her age and weakness, she could not resist them. Attempted to throw into well after gang rape After the incident, the accused said among themselves “Now let’s throw the old woman into the well.” After this, all four lifted the elderly woman along with the cot and started taking her towards the well. During that time, they heard the sound of some vehicle or people nearby. Accused fled after hearing people’s footsteps Fearing movement in the surroundings, the accused threw the elderly woman in the field and fled from the spot. After this, the elderly woman fell unconscious and lay there all night. After the incident, she remained injured for about 12 hours. On Friday morning, when some people reached the field to buy hay, they saw her lying on a cot outside the hut in a blood-soaked condition. People informed police and family members People were shocked seeing the elderly woman’s condition. They immediately informed the police and also notified the victim’s daughter. After receiving the information, the daughter left her in-laws’ house and reached her maternal home by night. On reaching there, she saw several injury marks on her mother’s body and bleeding from her private parts. She first cleaned the blood. The next day, on Friday, she brought ointment, bandages and medicines from a medical store, but there was no improvement in her mother’s condition. She kept going back to the medical store repeatedly to get more medicines. Medical Store Owner Sends Them to Hospital After Hearing of Rape During this time, the medical store owner asked her what had actually happened. She then told him that four men had raped her mother. On hearing this, the shopkeeper immediately advised her to take her mother to a hospital. First Taken to Punasa Hospital, Then Referred to Khandwa District Hospital Around 10PM on Friday night, the daughter took her mother to the government hospital in Punasa. Doctors there started treatment and informed the police. As the condition was serious, doctors referred the elderly victim to Khandwa District Hospital at around 2AM. She is currently still undergoing treatment. In this way, the victim could be admitted to a hospital nearly 50 hours after the incident happened.
