In Crime Files Part-1, it was reported that on 22 February 2023, the suspicious death of Shikha in Saikheda area of Narsinghpur created panic and discussion across the locality. At the time of the incident, only Shikha, her mother and her sister were present inside the house. The family told neighbours and police that she had slipped in the bathroom and died after falling. However, when she was taken to the hospital, doctors noticed several serious injuries on her body. They said the wounds did not match with a normal slip and fall. There were cuts around her neck and many injury marks on different parts of her body. This raised doubts and made the case look suspicious. Later, the post-mortem report brought out shocking details. It confirmed that Shikha had been stabbed many times with a sharp weapon. Rope marks were found on her legs, showing that she had been tied. There were deep wounds on her neck, and she died because of heavy bleeding. After this report, it became clear that Shikha’s death was not an accident, but a planned murder. The police faced the question: who committed the murder and why?.. Was the killer someone from the house? Read the rest of the story Police had now intensified the investigation from a murder angle. The CDR report of the mobile location revealed that a person was present in Saikheda from 11:32 AM to 2:27 PM – and this was the time when Shikha was murdered. The police’s suspicion now began to turn into certainty. Investigation of the SIM number revealed that the mobile number was registered in the name of Rahul Singh. Rahul and Shikha’s call details did not match Police inquired about Rahul, but no one had any information about him. Shikha’s call details also showed no call record on that number, meaning Rahul had never spoken to Shikha on the phone. Even on Shikha’s sister Khushboo’s phone, there was no evidence of any conversation with Rahul. Now the police were puzzled. Murder linked to Amethi through Khushboo’s call details On the other hand, the police were strictly interrogating Shikha’s mother and sister. In this regard, a big clue was found from Khushboo. She had four phone numbers, some of which were switched off after the incident. When the police investigated those numbers, the call details led them hundreds of kilometres away from Narsinghpur to Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Singh, with whom Khushboo used to talk on the phone for a long time, was a resident of this place. Rahul was Khushboo’s boyfriend, both wanted to get married Rahul, a resident of Amethi, was Khushboo’s boyfriend. They met through social media a year ago. They had been talking continuously on the phone for a year, and their relationship had become so deep that both wanted to get married. To conclude from their relationship that they were the ones who murdered Shikha was not possible. The police also couldn’t understand any solid reasoning behind it. Why would Rahul kill his girlfriend’s sister? And even if Khushboo supported him, why would she want to kill her younger sister? Police continuously interrogated family members for 7 days To ascertain the relationship between the two sisters, the police continued to interrogate family members for 7 days. Shikha’s maternal uncle, Arun, stated that Shikha and Khushboo never got along since childhood they often used to fight with each other. Khushboo was the elder sister, but Shikha repeatedly bothered her. Shikha and Khushboo’s mother, Babli, had also told her brother and mother about this many times. When Rahul was caught, layers of the incident began to unfold Police came to know that Khushboo’s boyfriend Rahul was coming to Saikheda again on the 28th to meet her. The police made a plan and on February 28, as soon as Rahul reached Saikheda, he was arrested after being surrounded. During interrogation, the whole story began to unfold layer by layer from Rahul. Rahul wanted to marry Khushboo, but Shikha was becoming the biggest obstacle in the way of their marriage. Shikha absolutely did not want her sister to marry Rahul. There was always tension between the two sisters regarding this. Gave sleeping pills to mother, then killed Shikha Khushboo put a clear condition before Rahul that if he wanted to marry her, he would first have to remove Shikha from their path. Then both of them hatched a horrific murder plot. On February 22, Rahul reached Narsinghpur from Amethi. First, they mixed sleeping pills in the mother’s food and put her to sleep. Then, in the silence of the afternoon, they carried out a horrific incident at home. Both tied Shikha with a rope, then attacked her head forcefully with the heavy lid of a cement tank. After that, they repeatedly stabbed her throat with a knife until Shikha’s breathing stopped forever. Cleaned bloodstains and untied the rope After Shikha’s death, both laid the body in the bathroom in such a way as if she had slipped and fallen. They cleaned the surrounding bloodstains, untied the rope, and arranged everything as if nothing had happened there. After this, they fabricated a false story of death due to slipping in the bathroom. After the murder, Rahul quietly left the house and returned to Amethi.
