People’s University in Bhopal once again received a bomb threat on Monday. The threatening email said that bombs filled with cyanide poison had been placed in the college and would explode at 12:15 pm. It also warned that doctors and students should be evacuated by 11 am. The message ended with the words “Allah Hu Akbar”. As soon as the information was received, the police, bomb disposal squad and dog squad reached the spot. As a precaution, the university campus was evacuated. Nishatpura TI Manoj Patwa, along with the local police staff, reached the university and carried out a search operation. Classrooms, hostels and parking areas were thoroughly checked, but no suspicious object was found. The cyber cell has started searching for the sender of the email. According to officials, the person who sent the threat will be identified soon. Earlier, on 19 February, People’s Medical College had also received a bomb threat through email. At that time too, the police and bomb squad carried out a detailed search, but nothing suspicious was found on the campus.
