A bloody dispute occurred late Sunday night in the Kundipura police station area of Chhindwara over an old grudge. A woman who went to irrigate an empty plot was attacked with an axe by her neighbor. Three people including the woman were injured in the attack. CCTV footage of the incident has also emerged, in which the accused is seen suddenly attacking the woman. Police have registered a case and taken the accused into custody. Woman had gone for irrigation, dispute with neighbor Complainant Sunita Athkar said that she had gone to irrigate the empty plot behind her house. During this time, neighbor Narayan Sahu reached there and started using abusive words towards her and her maternal uncle’s daughter Apeksha. As the dispute escalated, Sunita came and stood under the shed built near the house. Accused left home with an axe It is alleged that shortly after, Narayan Sahu came out of his house with an axe and suddenly attacked. Sunita and Apeksha were injured by the axe strikes. Another woman who came to intervene was also injured. The incident caused panic in the area. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed nearby. The footage shows the accused suddenly launching the attack. Police are now taking further action based on this footage. Treatment ongoing at District Hospital The injured women have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. According to police, all are reported to be out of danger. Station in-charge Mahendra Bhagat said that based on the complaint, a case has been registered and the accused has been taken into custody. Initial investigation reveals an old dispute as the cause. Police are taking action according to protocol based on CCTV footage and other evidence.
