Two minors carried out 27 rapid strikes one after another. In Madhya Pradesh’s capital, a Class 10 student was attacked with knives by two minor students while playing pool. The incident took place on the night of 15 February at a snooker club near Ganesh Chowk in the Tila Jamalpura area. CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on 22 February, showing the accused entering dramatically and launching a sudden assault. Within just 30 seconds, the two attackers struck the student 27 times and fled the spot. The injured boy somehow managed to survive. He suffered multiple deep injuries on one wrist, severe damage to two fingers of the other hand, and serious wounds on his shoulder and back. He has been admitted to hospital and is undergoing treatment. There had been previous tensions between both parties regarding dominance in pool game According to police, the injured 16-year-old is a resident of the Gautam Nagar police station area and visited the club daily to play pool. A few days earlier, he had a dispute at the club with two other 16-year-old minors. It is said that during that argument, the student slapped both of them. The accused allegedly attacked him to take revenge for that incident. Both attackers are also Class 10 students and attend the same coaching classes as the victim. Tension had reportedly existed earlier between the two sides over dominance in the pool game. After detaining the two minors, they were released from the police station on notice. Sub-Inspector Manipal Singh Bhadauria said that initially a case was filed under assault-related sections. Both minors were released with notices, and additional charges may be added after the medical report.
