In the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented the budget for the financial year 2026–27. This is the third budget of the Dr. Mohan Yadav government and the 7th budget presented by Devda as Finance Minister. Devda said the government’s aim is to provide work for every hand and announced the distribution of solar pumps to 1 lakh farmers. The Finance Minister added that this is a budget fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision. Ensuring justice for every woman is a priority of the government. Madhya Pradesh is the country’s third youngest state, and the government is committed to providing employment opportunities for youth. A provision of ₹23,882 crore has been made for the Ladli Bahna scheme. No new taxes will be imposed in the state.
