Police are gathering evidence against Piyush Dhamnodia, accused of murdering an MBA student, at Dwarkapuri police station in Indore. The accused is currently in police remand. During interrogation, the accused told the police that he had tried to commit suicide by standing in front of a train, but moved away from the tracks due to fear. In the police station, the accused tells other accused that he has watched videos related to lawyers and police on YouTube. He says that he will study while in jail and will get out of the case. He also asked one of the accused how much punishment he could get. Police officials say that the accused is trying to appear normal in his behavior. He kept watching YouTube videos on topics like ‘how to summon spirits’. In the dark, he kept mumbling apologies and claiming that he wanted to talk to the ‘spirit’ of the woman he had murdered just a few hours earlier. Student’s belongings identified by family members Meanwhile, on Monday, the police called the student’s younger sister and cousin to the police station to identify the student’s belongings. They were questioned about the relationship between the accused and the student, their meetings, and their visits to each other’s homes. The investigation revealed that the accused previously lived in the Banganga area and moved to Dwarkapuri in October. Police received information that the accused was already a drug user, but he had hidden this fact from the student. That day, she had left home with her father, saying she was going to get her Aadhaar card fixed. Her father had dropped her near the Collectorate. From there, she called her younger sister and told her that she was going to a birthday party with her classmate Piyush. She would return by 11 PM. The sister told her to inform their father herself. After this, the young woman did not return home, and her mobile phone was also switched off. A shocking message was sent from the mobile phone According to the police, after the murder on the night of February 10, the accused left his room around 8 PM. At 11 PM, he sent a message from the student’s mobile phone to her sister: “Tell Dad she won’t be coming home now.” After this, the family called friends and acquaintances, but no clue was found. 11 objectionable videos were made viral The investigation revealed that the accused shared 11 objectionable videos between the two in the college group. Later, the videos were also uploaded on the girl’s WhatsApp status and sent to numbers saved in the mobile, which caused a stir among relatives.
