A former nursery worker allegedly opened fire at a forest nursery in Raisen district, injuring three employees, including a Deputy Ranger and a woman staff member. The accused later died by suicide, with his body found hanging from a tree nearby, police said. Deputy Ranger Rakesh Sharma was shot in the back during the attack. Another employee, Suman Bai, was also shot in the back, and the bullet passed through her body. A third employee, Dalchand, escaped narrowly after lying down on the ground as the bullet passed over him. After firing, the accused, identified as Puran alias Gudda Lodhi, fled from the spot. He fired five rounds one after another. Additional Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Kumar Kharpuse said that before opening fire, the accused touched Sharma’s feet and spoke to him. During the conversation, he appeared upset about some issue. He then suddenly opened fire and fled. Police later found his body hanging from a tree near the area.
