An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted at Peepalrwa Police Station has been accused of assaulting a young man and threatening to kill him at a resort in Ashta. The incident occurred in the Jawar police station area. The injured youth was admitted to Ashta Civil Hospital. Incident at the resort According to reports, on the evening of February 11, ASI Mansingh Parmar arrived at “Soul Resort” in a private red car. He was not in uniform and was carrying a stick. Inside the resort, he verbally abused and physically assaulted Ashok Kumar Jain, who was present at the Mahavir Kirana and Sanchi Point counters. Victim claims threat to life The victim stated that when bystanders began recording the incident, the ASI threw his stick and threatened that he would have him killed if the court case was not withdrawn, citing his official position. Dispute over bounced cheque Ashok Kumar Jain, a resident of Bhaukheda village, had lent Rs 2.5 lakh to a local man named Ramesh. The cheque issued in return bounced, and Jain sent a legal notice to Ramesh. It is alleged that Ramesh’s relative, ASI Mansingh Parmar, came to pressure Jain into withdrawing the legal notice. Police register case and begin investigation Others, including a man named Gajraj, were present during the incident. Jawar police have registered a case based on a written complaint and are investigating using video footage and other evidence.
