Around 400 students from Class 3 to Class 8 of Kendriya Vidyalaya, number-1, travelled on the Bhopal Metro on Friday during an educational visit. The students boarded the metro from Kendriya Vidyalaya Metro Station and travelled up to AIIMS Metro Station as part of the exercise. Students travel on the metro The journey was conducted in multiple batches to ensure smooth movement and supervision. Teachers accompanied the students throughout the trip, while metro staff monitored boarding and deboarding at stations. Safety and operations explained During the ride, students were briefed on basic passenger safety rules, including platform discipline and behaviour inside trains. They were also informed about train movement, signalling basics and station announcements. 50% off tickets for participants All 400 students were issued 50% off on Metro tickets for the journey. For many students, this was their first experience of travelling on the metro, and they were seen observing station facilities and train operations closely. Outreach through school visits Officials said school visits are being used to familiarise younger commuters with metro services. Such visits are being planned as part of regular awareness efforts to introduce students to public transport systems in the city.
