The death toll linked to contaminated drinking water in Indore’s Bhagirathpura area has risen to 33, as another patient died late Thursday night while undergoing treatment. Victim identified The deceased has been identified as Algu Choudhary (70), who was admitted to Aurobindo Hospital on January 9 after suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhea. He later developed respiratory complications and passed away during treatment. Family’s statement Algu’s son, Sanjay, said his father had no prior medical conditions. “He was admitted due to vomiting and diarrhea caused by contaminated water. He had no history of illness,” he said. Current Situation According to hospital authorities, three patients remain admitted and are currently undergoing treatment. More than 450 patients affected by the contaminated water have been hospitalized so far and subsequently discharged after recovery.
