A shocking incident of gang rape has come to light in Mauganj, where a 14-year-old eighth-class student was allegedly sexually assaulted while on her way to take an exam. According to the information, the victim, accompanied by a friend, left home around 10:30 AM on Thursday to appear for her eighth-grade pre-board examination. Abduction and Assault According to reports, four young men on two motorcycles intercepted the girls en route. The accused then allegedly took both students to a nearby forest. One of the girls was left some distance away, while the other was subjected to a gang rape. It is being alleged that the perpetrators gave the victim an intoxicant, causing her to lose consciousness. Discovery and Medical assistance In the evening, the victim’s family was informed by a local villager that their daughter was found unconscious in the forest. The family immediately rushed to the spot and took her to a civil hospital. Considering the gravity of the situation, the doctors informed the police. Police investigation Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilip Soni and Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Sachi Pathak reached the police station upon receiving the information. The names of four suspects have surfaced in connection with the case. Official statements According to SP Dilip Soni, a complaint of gang rape has been received, and that the girl’s statement will be recorded once she regains consciousness. The victim’s mother also reported that two to three individuals were involved in the crime.
