Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma in Sehore district is once again in the headlines for his controversial statement. During a government program organised in village Dhamanda of Ichhawar assembly constituency, he warned the beneficiaries of the Ladli-Behna scheme that if they do not participate in programs, their names will be removed from the scheme. Minister Verma’s statement came during the inauguration ceremony of the new sub-health centre and Ayushman Arogya Mandir. He said that in village Dhamanda, 894 Ladli sisters are being given an amount of Rs 1500 every month, yet their attendance in government programs remains very low. Will call all sisters one day The minister said from the stage that he will talk to the CEO and call all the Ladli sisters one day. If they do not participate in the program even on that day, action will be taken to remove their names from the scheme by sending their report. During this, he also raised the question of whether women used to get such financial assistance during the Congress rule or not. PM sending wheat from Delhi Minister Verma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sending wheat from Delhi, and money is being transferred directly to farmers’ accounts, but people are not able to understand the importance of government schemes. On this occasion, he inaugurated the new sub-health centre built at a cost of Rs 56.09 lakh in Naplakhedi village of Sehore district and Ayushman Arogya Mandir constructed at a cost of Rs 65 lakh in Dhamanda village.
