A motorcycle rider died and two others were injured after their bike got entangled in a wire on Kothi Road in Satna on Monday night. The incident took place around 11 pm near the Gadhiya Tola cemetery. Police said a contractor’s employee was taking a mixer machine across the road using a tractor. The machine was tied with a wire stretched across the road. During this time, three men travelling on a motorcycle from the Civil Line side came in contact with the wire and fell. The deceased was identified as Ramjas (45), son of Ramkripal Chaudhary, a resident of Kanchanpur-Amarpatan. His neck was cut after getting caught in the wire, leading to his death on the spot. The injured have been identified as Arvind (38), son of Ramsipahi Chaudhary, resident of Udaysagar, and Ramprasad (40), son of Haridin Chaudhary, resident of Rampur Chaurasi. Both were admitted to the district hospital. Police said all three are cousins and were going to attend a function at their sister-in-law’s in-laws’ house in Bagaha. Ramjas had reached Satna earlier and later left with the other two from the Civil Line area. The body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem. Police have seized the tractor and the mixer machine. Further investigation is under way. See three pictures after the accident…
