Dense fog enveloped Indore on Tuesday morning, disrupting daily life and significantly impacting air traffic operations. Poor visibility at the city airport forced the diversion of multiple flights and the cancellation of another, leading to delays and inconvenience for passengers. Two incoming flights unable to land in Indore Due to sharply reduced visibility, two scheduled flights from Mumbai were unable to land at Indore airport. An IndiGo flight, scheduled to arrive at 7:45 am and return to Mumbai shortly after, reached Indore airspace but could not land. The pilot circled for some time hoping for an improvement in visibility; however, as conditions remained unchanged, the aircraft was diverted to Rajkot. Similarly, an Air India flight from Mumbai, scheduled to arrive in Indore at 9:05 am and then fly onward to Delhi, also failed to land due to dense fog. The aircraft was subsequently diverted to Ahmedabad. Airport officials said both flights were expected to return to Indore once visibility improved later in the morning. Flight diverted from Bhopal to Indore Fog conditions also disrupted air operations in Bhopal. An IndiGo flight arriving from Ahmedabad could not land at Bhopal airport due to poor visibility and was diverted to Indore. More than 70 passengers were on board the flight. Officials said the aircraft would resume its journey to Bhopal after weather conditions improved. Pune–Indore–Goa flight cancelled Flight operations on the Pune–Indore–Goa route were also affected. Due to adverse weather conditions, the morning flight operating on this sector was cancelled. The cancellation further added to passenger inconvenience, especially for those travelling onward to Goa. Passengers face delays and uncertainty With two flights diverted from Indore, one diverted to the city and another cancelled, air travel remained disrupted for several hours. Passengers faced delays, missed connections and uncertainty as dense fog continued to affect visibility and flight operations across the region.
