After an objectionable video from the Ramvan temple premises in the Rampur Baghelan police station area of Satna district went viral on social media, the police have registered an FIR against an unidentified young man and woman and launched an investigation. In the video, the young man and woman are allegedly seen in an inappropriate position behind the idol installed inside the temple. It is believed that the video was recorded by people present at the spot and later circulated widely on social media. Temple priest lodges complaint The temple priest, Ansh Sharma (son of Ramayan Sharma), lodged a complaint at the Ramvan police post on Monday. In his complaint, he stated that such an act at a place of worship had hurt religious sentiments and violated the sanctity of the temple premises. Police examining CCTV footage
Police have begun verifying the authenticity and timing of the video. Along with this, efforts are being made to identify those who made the video. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined to track down the concerned individuals. Bajrang Dal demands strict action
After the incident, anger and resentment was seen among local people. The administration has appealed the citizens to maintain law and order and not share misleading information. In this matter, Bajrang Dal’s state Gaushala chief Sachin Shukla also expressed displeasure. He demanded from the police that the young man and woman should be identified based on the viral video and legal action should be taken so that such incidents do not occur at religious places in future.
