To control the situation, police forces from three stations were deployed. The incident occurred on Monday in Sulgaon Dagdi village. The mother of Mohan Patidar, a resident of the village, had passed away. Relatives and family members arrived at an open area about 200 meters from the Narmada riverbank to perform the cremation. During the preparations, some villagers objected. They said that cremations should be conducted at the designated distance from the river.
