Class 8 student raped at government hostel in Sagar:Threatened to kill and raped for 4 months, heinous act revealed after pregnancy; police registers FIR

A case of rape involving a 12-year-old minor student has come to light in a government hostel in Sagar. The accused kept raping the minor for about 4 months while threatening to kill her. When the victim’s health deteriorated, she was brought to the hospital, where after a checkup it was discovered that she was three months pregnant. The incident is from the tribal government hostel in Khurai. The student is admitted to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal. The case diary has been sent to Khurai after registering a zero FIR at Koh-e-Fiza police station. The student told police that she is originally from a village in Ganjbasoda of Vidisha district. She is studying in 8th standard while staying at the hostel in Khurai. She has been living here for the past two years. The accused used to come to deliver vegetables at the hostel The victim said – A young man named Altaf used to come to deliver vegetables at the hostel. In September 2025, he forcibly entered the student’s room. He closed the door and raped the student. When she resisted, he threatened to kill her. The scared student did not tell anyone about this. After that, whenever the accused got a chance, he continued to rape her. Rape revealed after stomach pain On Saturday, when the student had stomach pain, she informed the warden and watchman. The warden called the student’s parents. Family members took her to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal on February 1, where during examination the doctor revealed a three-month pregnancy. After this, Kohefiza police station was informed. Family’s financial condition is weak The victim student’s parents are residents of Vidisha district. Their financial condition is poor. She has five sisters and two brothers. Khurai Police Station in-charge Yogendra Singh Dangi said – As soon as the case diary is received, further action will be initiated.
