A shocking case of the murder of a 7-year-old tribal girl has emerged in the Rajpur police station area of Barwani district. The girl’s body was recovered from the Indira Sagar Canal. Following the post-mortem report confirming rape, police registered a case under sections for murder, rape, and the POCSO Act. On Monday, reports emerged of a girl’s body sighted in the canal near Khadkal village. Villagers helped retrieve it, and police were informed immediately.
