The number of patients affected by the Indore’s Bhagirathpura contaminated tap water case has now reduced to seven, but the condition of two of them remains critical. Of the seven, three patients are currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while one is on ventilator support. Doctors said that among the three patients admitted to the general ward, two are stable and may be discharged later today. High Court hearing today Several Public Interest Litigations (PILs) filed in connection with the incident will be heard today at the Indore bench of the High Court. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain will appear before the court virtually during the hearing. Over 450 hospitalised, 28 deaths reported So far, more than 450 patients have been admitted to hospitals following the outbreak. The death toll has reached 28. At present, five patients are undergoing treatment at Bombay Hospital, while three are admitted to Aurobindo Hospital. Health officials said the number of diarrhea cases in the area has dropped sharply. Only one or two new cases are being reported daily, and most do not require hospital admission. Water supply still limited In Bhagirathpura, water supply has resumed on alternate days in around 30 percent of the area. However, residents continue to rely mainly on tanker water and RO-treated water for drinking. Work on the main pipeline in the remaining 70 percent of the area is in its final stage and is expected to be completed within this month, officials said.
