High-speed car overturns 5 times in Ujjain after hitting divider:Driver dies on spot, body pulled out after breaking vehicle glass

A car driver was killed in a road accident in Ujjain late on Friday night. The incident occurred at around 11 pm near a petrol pump in the Lohana Kuti area under Badnagar Police Station limits. According to police, the speeding car lost control, rammed into the road divider and overturned at least five times. The entire sequence was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. Deceased worked as driver The deceased was identified as Govardhandas Bairagi, a resident of Jalodia, who worked as a driver with a private company. He died on the spot. Police said the accident took place while he was returning towards Lohana after dropping off employees during night hours. See accident images… Car glass removed to take out body Police said over speeding appears to have been the primary cause of the accident. After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and broke the vehicle’s glass to remove the driver’s body, which was trapped inside. The body was later sent to Badnagar Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. Badnagar Police Station in-charge Ashok Patidar said a case has been registered and an investigation is under way. “Preliminary findings suggest that high speed was the main cause of the accident,” he said.
