A speeding truck collided with a motorcycle from behind at Badora Chowk in Betul district on Saturday afternoon. The impact left the woman rider seriously injured, and she later died while being taken to the district hospital. A seven-month-old baby, who was sitting on her lap, miraculously survived the crash unharmed. Victim identified According to reports, the deceased 24-year-old, identified as Sangeeta Patel, was originally from Tapra village in Balotra Tehsil of Jodhpur district, Rajasthan, and was residing in Vastu Park, Badora. Couple returning after doctor’s visit Sangeeta had come to Betul with her husband Rajendra Patel and their seven-month-old son Dhruv to consult a doctor. After the consultation, they were returning home on a motorcycle when the speeding truck struck them from behind at Badora Chowk. The collision was so severe that the motorcycle fell onto the road and Sangeeta was caught under the truck’s tire. She sustained critical injuries and was immediately taken to the district hospital with the help of nearby locals. Doctors declared her dead upon arrival. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced, reportedly capturing the entire collision. Police investigation underway The Betul Market Police Station has conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to the family. A case has been registered against the truck driver, who is currently being traced by the police. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
