14-yr-old girl gang-raped in Maihar, accused record act:2 friends lure her to hillside when she went to buy fruits; 3 in custody, search for two others continues

A case of gang rape with a 14-year-old minor girl has come to light in Maihar. The minor girl had gone to the hills on a bike with her two friends. It is alleged that while returning, 3 people stopped them on the way. They made obscene gestures towards the girl. When her friends tried to stop them, they were beaten. After this, all three took turns raping the girl. Police have registered a case against 5 people and taken three people into custody. Search for two is ongoing. The villagers immediately informed the police. Police officers reached the spot and took the victim to the police station. Family members were also called to the station and after questioning, a case was registered against five accused, including two friends. Police are also questioning the girl’s friends who had taken her out.
