Chief Minister chairs meeting on state development:MPUDC given new responsibility to work on Namami Narmade, EV-PPP and IT sections to be formed

The Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company (MPUDC) will now work on the Namami Narmade scheme, similar to the Namami Gange project. A new independent section will be created to develop projects for solid and liquid waste management, environmental improvement, and reuse of treated water along the Narmada river banks. This decision was taken on Tuesday at the MPUDC Board of Directors meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Until now, MPUDC has focused on water supply and sewerage projects. Under the new scheme, work will also expand to sectors like EV-Urban Mobility, IT, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Experts will be appointed to lead these initiatives. The Chief Minister said the aim of the new sections is to attract more investment, improve civic facilities, and provide modern transport options in cities. ACS Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Deepali Rastogi, PS Sukhbir Singh, P. Narhari, Commissioner Urban Administration and Housing Sanket Bhondwe were present in the meeting. The objective of these new departments is to accelerate Metropolitan Area Development works with financial discipline and coordination with NITI Aayog and other departments. Now the company’s work will change according to needs
ACS Urban Administration Sanjay Dubey said that the company’s structure will now be changed according to the current needs. Posts have been sanctioned as per requirement, and now subject experts will be found accordingly and placed in these new sections. These sections will work for urban transport, the need for IT-enabled facilities, and new suggestions in new urban development.
