In Ashoknagar, robbers attacked a farmer by throwing chili powder in his eyes and stole 25 lakh rupees on Tuesday morning. The farmer shouted for help, but no one stopped to assist him. Later, a friend informed his family about the attack. The victim, farmer Lakhbinder, said he had borrowed money from his relative Jazzy of Rampura Mohalla. He had to repay 24 lakh rupees to Jazzy and 1 lakh to another person. Lakhbinder had placed the cash in two bags, wrapped in a towel, on the front of his bike. Near Mohri, three men on the roadside stopped him, threw chili powder in his eyes, and snatched the bags before fleeing. Attacked while returning home to get mobile
Around 10 AM, after reaching a short distance from home, the farmer remembered that he had forgotten his mobile at home. He was turning his bike back to get the mobile. Just then, three miscreants standing by the roadside stopped him and inquired about a nearby field. During the conversation, one of the miscreants had a plastic bag in his hand. He suddenly snatched it and threw chili powder into the farmer’s eyes. The farmer tried to save his bag, but the second miscreant snatched the bag and fled. Shouted on the road, villager helped
After the robbery, the farmer kept shouting on the road for a long time. Some people passed by, but did not help. Later, a villager saw him and informed his family. Family members reached the spot and took the farmer to the district hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Police started investigation at the spot
As soon as the incident was reported, Kotwali Police Station In-charge Ravi Pratap Singh Chauhan and Dehat Police Station In-charge Bhuvnesh Sharma reached the crime scene with their police teams. Chilli powder mixed in water was also found at the spot. Upon reaching the district hospital, the police questioned the farmer regarding the incident.
