PM Modi virtually addresses Satna’s Sansad Khel Mahotsav:Says, ‘India targets to excel in hosting Global sports events’; interacts with athletes

The closing ceremony of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, being held across Madhya Pradesh, will take place today (Thursday). International badminton star and Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal arrived in Satna to attend the event at Dada Sukhendra Singh Stadium. Meanwhile, the programme in Indore is being organised at Vaishnav College. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed the concluding ceremony of the sports festival. Festival began on November 26 All preparations for the closing ceremony have been completed. The Sansad Khel Mahotsav began on November 26 and continued for 31 days. More than 1,000 differently-abled athletes from the Indore Lok Sabha constituency participated in the event. Prime Minister Modi will interact directly with these athletes during the programme. At the block level, a total of 7,963 players from Satna and Maihar districts took part in various sports competitions. The primary objective of the festival was to provide a platform for rural sporting talent and bring it to the forefront. 11 sports disciplines featured A total of 11 sports disciplines were included in the festival, such as kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, football, tennis ball cricket, basketball, men’s and women’s wrestling, and athletics. Special focus on inclusivity In a special initiative for differently-abled participants, a tricycle race was also organised, further enhancing the inclusive nature of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav.
