A 30-year-old nurse died by alleged suicide after consuming an overdose of anaesthesia on Thursday. The incident occurred at JK Hospital, where she was admitted in a critical condition but could not be saved. Victim and background
The deceased has been identified as Megha Yadav (30), daughter of Mayaram Yadav. She worked as a nurse at JK Hospital and had been living with her partner, Rupesh Sahu, in a live-in relationship for the past four years. Overdose and hospitalization On Wednesday night, Megha allegedly consumed an overdose of anesthesia. Her live-in partner, Rupesh, reportedly brought her to JK Hospital in an unconscious state, claiming to be her brother to admit her. Megha passed away during treatment the following morning. Family allegations Megha’s family claims that she had been under severe mental stress after Rupesh repeatedly refused to marry her. According to her younger brother, Raja Yadav, the couple had been living together with the family’s knowledge, and discussions about marriage had begun around six months ago. However, over the past four months, Rupesh reportedly began withdrawing from the idea of marriage, and communication with Megha had decreased significantly in the last month. Suspicious circumstances Police confirmed that Megha’s mobile phone was switched off, and Rupesh was not present when her family reached the hospital. Before the incident, Megha had spoken to her nephew over the phone and appeared normal. Authorities have registered a case under MARG (unnatural death) and seized some medical material from her residence for forensic examination. Investigation underway The local police, led by Kolara Thana in-charge Sanjay Soni, stated that the investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Megha’s death and her partner’s role in the incident.
