To manage the increased travel demand during Christmas and New Year, Indian Railways is operating special trains via Itarsi. These trains will run on the Kanpur Central–Lokmanya Tilak Terminal and Hyderabad–Ajmer routes, providing direct convenience to passengers traveling across North India, Maharashtra, and South India. Kanpur Central–Mumbai route: Two special trips Indian Railways will operate two special trips between Kanpur Central and Lokmanya Tilak Terminal via Itarsi. The trains will stop at major stations including Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Nashik, and Kalyan. Hyderabad–Ajmer route: One special trip each way Similarly, a special train will run between Hyderabad and Ajmer via Bhopal Division. This train will stop at key stations including Secunderabad, Nanded, Akola, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Ujjain, Ratlam, and Chittorgarh. Enhanced connectivity for travelers These special trains aim to provide smooth travel during the festive season, reducing crowding on regular trains and offering additional travel options for passengers traveling across North, Central, and South India.
