Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Aidal Singh Kansana has dismissed claims of a fertiliser shortage in the state. He said viral videos showing farmers being beaten or mistreated are part of a pre-planned conspiracy. According to him, a few people deliberately create chaos in queues so that videos can be recorded and circulated to mislead farmers. ‘Only 4–5 people create ruckus’ The minister said that when nearly 100 farmers stand peacefully in a fertiliser queue, only 4–5 outsiders are planted to create trouble.“They shout, slap people, and then make the videos viral,” he claimed. He insisted that farmers are being misinformed deliberately. No fertiliser shortage in Madhya Pradesh Aidal Singh Kansana said clearly that there is no shortage of fertiliser in the state. He challenged critics to name even one farmer who could not sow crops due to lack of fertiliser.“There is no such example,” he said. Home delivery of fertiliser planned The minister announced that the government will soon start home delivery of fertiliser under the e-Vikas system.This step is aimed at improving supply management and reducing crowding at distribution centres. Remarks made at 2-year government event Kansana was speaking at a press conference in Bhopal to mark two years of the Mohan Yadav-led government in Madhya Pradesh.He rejected all allegations of a fertiliser crisis during the event. When asked why farmer loan waiver was not listed among the government’s achievements, the minister said the scheme was never part of the BJP manifesto.He said it was a Congress promise which the Kamal Nath government failed to fulfil, leading to its fall.
