On Sunday night, a man was attacked by five youths at Narmadapuram District Hospital. He had come to get blood for his sick son but refused to give alcohol in exchange. A video of the assault has gone viral. Police have registered a case against all five accused. Babloo Ahirwar’s son, from Nayatoli Raikhedi, Pipariya, is in the ICU of a private hospital. Doctors had asked for a blood transfusion because his hemoglobin was very low. Babloo had contacted a young man over the phone, who then called him to the hospital for the donation. When Bablu reached the hospital at 10 PM, he asked 5 youths standing there if they were the donors. The accused lied, saying, “Yes, we are the donors, but first give us alcohol. ” Bablu pleaded with folded hands that his son urgently needed blood and asked them to donate. Kotwali TI Kanchan Singh Thakur said that on the complaint of the plaintiff, a case has been registered against accused Vikas Rajput, Arun alias Punna Sarathe, Bitti alias Deepesh, Amit Chauhan and Dev Maurya at 1 AM under sections of assault and other charges. All the accused are residents of Narmadapuram.
